Posted by Mike Cerio on Oct 3, 2012 9:44:00 AM
JantschName: John Jantsch

AKA: Sticky Fingers

Known Associates:
Profile: Jantsch is the creator and founder of Duct Tape Marketing, a website which offers small business consulting in marketing and advertising online with a small budget. In fact, Duct Tape Marketing has become one of the best cited and well known marketing resources for small business, having been mentioned by Forbes, CNN Money, and even the Wall Street Journal. The blog in particular offers real-world advice on marketing for small business owners and Jantsch has rocketed himself into being one of the best known inbound marketers.

With the huge popularity of Duct Tape Marketing, becoming a published author was the natural next step for Jantsch, two of his biggest books being Duct Tape Marketing: The World's Most Practical Small Business Marketing Guide and the Referral Engine: Teaching Your Business To Market Itself. Both of these books provide advice that help small businesses with smaller budgets be able to market themselves properly online, since most small businesses don't have the manpower or extensive knowledge to have large, sweeping online ad campaigns like larger businesses do.

When Jantsch isn't updating his blogs or social networks, he is also an active consultant under the Duct Tape Marketing name. He will work one-to-one with businesses of all types to help them better their online marketing strategy and has created a growing network of fellow consultants to help with the Duct Tape Marketing brand. Businesses have the option to choose a consultant nearby to start seeing real results with their marketing through the Duct Tape Marketing program. Not many of the best inbound marketers offer such services, but, Jantsch began as a consultant and coach. His consulting has helped larger known names such as AT&T, Microsoft, American Express, Hewlett-Packard, and Intuit to grow their business development online. So, his advice has become universal.

Much like the rest of the "Inbound 11", Jantsch is active in the speaking community with conferences, expos, and other events relevant to online marketing and business development. He also arranges his own workshops and conferences for businesses to talk about marketing. However, he is most active as a business coach for larger brands, having 15 years worth of experience in the field. Current whereabouts have him located in Missouri.
