How I Leveraged LinkedIn to Create a 7-Figure Business in Three Years

An inspiring story of how Lewis Howes wen from professional athelete, to sleeping on his sisters couch, to the owner of a booming business all in a short 3-year span by using LinkedIn to its fullest.

Infographic: A brief history of content marketing.

Brands have been telling stories to attract and retain customers for hundreds of years.  The difference today is that the barriers to entry (content acceptance, talent and technology) no longer exist for brands to get into the publishing arena.

From John Deere to Coca-Cola, the power of story has never been stronger, or more important for brands and its customers.

What the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can Teach us all About Marketing…Seriously.

In 1984, two artists used a simple process to create a story that captivated an audience for years and generated billions of dollars in revenue.

That same process is being used today by a master copywriter to attract hundreds of thousands of paying subscribers.

Getting Un-comfortable with your Content Marketing

What If Your Content Was Gone?

Let’s say someone rounded up all your marketing and placed it in a box, like it never existed. Would anyone miss it? Would you leave a gap in the marketplace?

Makes you a bit uncomfortable, right? Darn straight.

Nobody Cares about your Business…But that’s OK.

Have you stopped to consider that no one cares about your product, your service or you? I don’t say this to be brutal or cruel. I say this to help you find a way to make them stand up and pay attention to you and the benefits you can deliver them.

How to NOT Talk Yourself Out of your Goals and Dreams

We talk a lot about setting goals, living your dreams, reaching your full potential and even give you some great ways to plan out those goals and dreams. But, I have found that it isn’t the thinking and planning process of goals and dreams that is the hard part, oh, no.

The difficult part of reaching your goals and dreams is following through and not letting yourself talk yourself out of them. That’s a mouthful, so let me clarify.

How to Improve My Google Ranking? Use Google Authorship Program

You may have noticed rich snippets with a picture of the article author and a link to their Google+ profile in the Google search results. Businesses see a higher click through-rate (CTR) when these images appear in the SERP’s. So with this in mind do you think it's important to add the Google Author markup to your website?

If you have any existing Google account (Gmail, Google docs, Google Webmaster Tools, etc.), then you already have at least a stub Google+ profile. Perhaps yours is already somewhat filled out. But Google authorship markup mandates specific data requirements in that profile, so let’s get it set up right.
